From June 13 to July 14, CMC’s EMUs exported to Brazil have made an outstanding performance during the FIFA World Cup 2014. Accumulatively, the EMUs have been brought into operation for 11,349 hours, which have covered the distance of 400 thousand kilometers in 856 times of running, and with 6 million passengers on board. The CMC-led consortium has been highly praised not only by the football players and fans from all over the world, but also by the local government, community representatives, and the Chinese Consulate in Rio. Besides, the EMUs projects have received extensive media coverage from CCTV, Xinhua News Agency, People’s daily and the local Brazilian media. (22.07.2014)
